A very simple way to make a delicious Americano coffee. Start by making an espresso like you normally do and simply add hot water direct from the group head of your espresso machine. I like to use a double espresso with a 2.5:1 water to coffee ratio for the shot. You can also go 3:1 and the coffee will be good.
For americanos, I prefer high-altitude medium dark roasts. The flavor is much more pleasant than the burnt flavor variety at cafes. It’s certainly, a little bit mellower but the taste is just right and depending on the type of coffee beans you grind, you’ll enjoy the notes.
