What does Bunnati mean?
The word Bunna means coffee in Ethiopia and arguably the birthplace of the Arabic coffee tree. After that discovery, Arabic coffee tree seeds were taken to southern Arabian peninsula, cultivated and subsequently processed to the hot beverage we all love today – coffee!
The word Bunn means coffee beans on the Arabian peninsula and Bunnati colloquially means ‘my coffee beans.’ So there you have it, Bunnati is derived from vocabulary belonging to the birthplace of the Arabic coffee tree as well as the origin of the coffee beverage we drink today.
